I personally know lots of people who probably can drink pesticides and still live a 100 years without getting sick. It’s easy to get caught up with fear over this topic and go to unnecessary lengths at the expense of your hard earned $$$ just to buy organic. At some point you’ll have to draw the line and figure out what you’re willing to pay for your food.
Below is my rule of thumb when buying these items. The way I look at it I don’t have to worry about it too much because who eats vegetables anyway? lol (kidding)
HIGH PESTICIDE (always buy organic)
- Red/orange peppers
- All lettuce
LOW PESTICIDE (don’t have to buy organic)
- Sweet Potatoes
